  i'm around a year on i3. (manjaro + i3)
  it's really good to create custom keyboard shortcut (i'm use "kana" key to enter launcher mode)
  it tooks some time to getting used to it, 2 days for me.

  Yeah I am petty used to using it by now. I just went back to GNOME for some time now. But I used i3 a lot this week, really easy to get used to though and I love it. Setup custom key bindings and such too.
