  I'm not sure military action is often a last resort, more a course of action used where deemed necessary. it's all about perspective, preservation and gaining of assets, and preservation of life, however often it may not seem like this. The fact is, however, whether we wish to believe it or not, that people voluntarily sign up to the armed forces in this day and age and are well aware of the consequences that may face them.
