Lockdown is retarded.

Also don't forget the government STILL WANTS TO STEAL YOUR LAND AND PROPERTY.

You save more lives with a working lockdown than with letting people work during a pandemic.
And if people die of hunger, it means that the government is doing crap, not that a lockdown is stupid.
The only problem with the lockdown is stupid people refusing to follow it for dumb reason, which make it less efficient and as such, longer.

    > asymptomatics can stay far away

Most of them don't even know that they're carriers. Masks helps a lot in that regard though.

I agree that there are many economies where a lockdown is infeasible. See India, for instance. That doesn't mean a lockdown is stupid. An economically impossible strategy might still be the medically best option.

Those who get it hard can stay at home and asymptomatics can stay far away.

It's perfectly okay to discuss the problem with a lockdown, but calling it dumb is just ignorant. There's no cure and people who get it hard and survive seems to get complications (even brain damage). This is a very mild zombie apocalypse, and a lockdown is an effective measure. It might not be economically feasible, but people who argue that often fail to appreciate the economic impact of sudden deaths. Personally, I think a slowing down of society until we have a vaccine is smart but costly.

No I disagree, people have lost livelihoods here - they will die of hunger if not for jobs.

Sorry but strong disagree - lockdown is dumb not onyl for that but because I have human rights

    Lockdown is not retarded.

I live in Norway, 5.3 million inhabitants, 9K cases and 255 dead.

Our neighbor country is Sweden, 10.3 million inhabitants, 78K cases and 5667 dead.

Flock immunity is not very high in Sweden, despite the burnout strategy.
