Regarding #BOSSLinux

BOSS Linux is a version of #GNU / #Linux being developed by CDAC, which is an Indian government agency. Before release, this was announced to be an #OpenSource software but so far (and there have been 6 versions already) no source code is available at its official website (https://bosslinux.in) or anywhere else.

To the best of our knowledge, BOSS Linux is NOT a #FOSS software.

    Thanks for pointing it out.
There have been specific inquiries for source code to which the concerned agency didn't respond, despite having more than a dozen physical addresses for 'help' with BOSS Linux. But, as you pointed here, source code is apparently available. I'd update with this info on other social networks as well.
    Thanks again.

I am not familiar with BOSS #Linux, but I found several directories containing source @ http://packages.bosslinux.in/boss/dists/savir/main/source/

Also, check out the other directories @ http://packages.bosslinux.in/boss/

Is that what you're looking for? They have to provide source code (if they make any changes to existing code), but they don't have to do it very easy for you, unfortunately. I've read that some #companies only actually send #source on optical media if requested by letter.
