Mukt 6 years agoI quite agree - trust nobody. Yet, customized visibility of posts is a useful thing.
If any of you have the time and desire to make Pjuu better, you may refer to the summary old discussions on the subject here (https://github.com/pjuu/pjuu/issues/215) and if possible, contribute to the code.
Also, here(https://github.com/pjuu/pjuu/issues/312) are more details about "Trusted users".
And the pjuu word for groups/rooms was "romps" - means, literally, "a collection of otters". :)- 0

Mukt 6 years agoTrusted users is quite old, and a trade off of sorts.
At one time Pjuu was experimenting with providing users more options in post visibility - things like groups, rooms, etc were being discussed. It was a lot of work, and not enough people were (or are!) actively developing the software (https://github.com/pjuu). So, @Joe implemented the the thing that was easy to do - gave everyone one group/room where one post posts with user defined visibility, and that's how you got your trusted users.- 1

Stolensoul 6 years agoWell, the trusted users here are just a way to restrict post visibility, if I'm not mistaken.
And I think a better rule would be to trust anyone you want to, but never more than you should.- 4
