  I feel this persons pain. I too started with IRC and so fourth. I hate smartphone refuse to own one. Bad enough I have a flip mobile phone. Reminds me of the browser and multi media wars, different pages rendered on different browsers....had to have different apps to view video, listen to audio etc like quicktime, real player, shit load of audio software, for animations . That is almost gone now, so why is messaging so messed up still?
