The Republicans’ #Military #Budget Could Make Every #Homeless Person In America A Millionaire - source: http://thinkprogress.org/world/2016/05/21/3779478/house-ndaa-2017-budget/

Using those findings, ending homelessness in the United States would likely require about .01 percent of next year’s likely military expenditures. The government could even purchase a $1 million home for every homeless person in the United States with the budget, and it would still have money leftover.

Oh, I didn't say I was expecting it either. There is a difference between what should be, and what will.
Humanity feels the need to self-destruct, and probably won't avoid this fate. But if we can't be satisfied with our world, and can't imagine how it should be, our existence is condemned to be quite empty.

The problem is impossible to solve in one day. It's a mentality problem, if less and less people were enrolled in the military forces, it could disappear slowly.
For the safety matter, I'd just say that what you need is a police, not soldiers.

But America's powerful image comes from its military, not from its humanity. And everybody knows looking strong is better than improving humanity.
