German nuclear plant infected with #computer viruses, operator says: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-nuclearpower-cyber-germany-idUSKCN0XN2OS
As an example, Hypponen said he had recently spoken to a European #aircraft maker that said it cleans the cockpits of its planes every week of #malware designed for #Android phones. The malware spread to the planes only because factory employees were charging their phones with the #USB port in the #cockpit.

That said, I am surprised that an aircraft maker has left usb ports in its plane's cockpits. That is a major design flaw.

Unless it is disabled, employees will use the usb port and even.though the usual viruses they get are android viruses doesn't help if they get a virus targetting the aircraft specifically. Yes the aircraft has a different OS, but exploiting that is one of the reasons that countries like US and China invest heavily in cyber security

It is one thing to infest office of a power plant with virus, completely another game to breach computers of the actual power plant. Viruses are surprisingly common on clerical computers.

As a rule, critical computers are seldom connected to internet and almost never use anything from MS or google or any other commonly named software maker.
