  It would be great to have a gallery-style preview of the photos.
  
  Self-hosting sounds alright, but not sure if it's worth setting up if you need only occasionally share a batch of photos

  Is it a requirement to share as photos or could they be zipped?
  
  Have you considered self-hosting, e.g. #nextcloud?

  I think the strength of Pixelfed lies in showing off yr pictures to a wider audience
