A disadvantage of pjuu is that it doesn't appear to auto-refresh the timeline.

    That is true. We don't use a lot of Javascript at the moment and we always make sure there is a correct fall back if you choose not use it. I was thinking of adding a thing like Twitter where it shows how many new posts there are.
