  I had to run an errand on Independence Day itself (11 hours from leaving to return). But while I was in Kansas City, I got doughnuts, bought a gift for co-worker, shopped for gifts for grandkids, did a complete circuit on the I-435 loop. There were lots of fireworks in the St Louis area when I got back at 9PM. It sounded like Beirut.
