Joe 5 years agoI don't beleive it is more safe. I am more thinking along the line that Apple is not an advertising company. Google make money from analytics and selling the insights.

Sigg3 5 years ago@Joe Just don't buy it because you believe it's more secure or safer. It is not.
It's a nice piece of hardware, and if you buy the whole lifestyle (all the devices and services) you get an awesome, synchronized experience where everything just works seamlessly (and over which you have virtually no control).
I am ogling the Librem 5.- 1

Joe 5 years agoThanks for the advise guys. I will have a reconsider for the phone... I do however still like my iPad 😀
... @maxxcan feel free to make one 😀 the current Android app is just a web browser wrapper. That may be a start. I can't promise I will have the time on the rewrite to add an API.- 1

Sigg3 5 years agoEveryone at work have iDevices, except me. I, otoh, have worked as a certified Crapple iPhone support dude.
Apple makes underclocked hardware, has paywalls and garden walls everywhere. There are a lot of stupid issues wrt Apple, because they do not follow standards and the third-party developers just have to create specific workarounds.
You should have an Apple test device for your stuff, and you should not use it as a personal phone.- 1

Joe 5 years agoI've become a little disenchanted with my Android stuff recently. I can't put my finger on it exactly. Still debating the iPhone, but the iPad is good.
