Lnxw37 8 years agoThe few days before and after Memorial Day are also big air travel days. Some people on my first flight Friday said they spent a couple of hours in the security line before getting into the "safe" zone. I was there more than four hours early, so of course, I was through the security line in twenty minutes.

Johnnynull 8 years agoMemorial Day weekend (If I remember correctly) is the most traveled weekend in the US. During weekends of heavy travel you'll often find planks of wood with "FREE COFFEE (sometimes SNACKS as well)" near rest stops along the highway. Boy Scouts, churches, and so on offer free coffee to keep drivers awake. #UninterestingUSTrivia

Sigg3 8 years agoPainting the house we're staying in. I'm not good with heights but spent 3 hours 6-7 meters above ground today, and will be doing roof windows tomorrow. Nice weather today though, so the dog takes care of itself;)

Joe 8 years agoIt's just spring bank holiday I think. It'll be some old English thing to do with banks for us. It's always that or some daft religious thing. One advantage to it I guess 😜. Good that you have one too. I don't really know much about America

Johnnynull 8 years agoMonday is Memorial Day in the US, so yes most people have a three-day weekend here. Is yours of a similar sort?

Znara 8 years agoThe US does. It's the summer kick off weekend so everyone barbeques. It's going to be a hot one this year too.
