  @Joe Believe it or not, we're just as bad. Nobody believes "winter is coming" then suddenly "WHAAAT?!" and cars sliding off the road...

  That's a good point. We use salt also. They aren't out walking yet still a few days away... I doubt we deal with snow the same as you. One flake and the whole countries infrastructure seems to fall to bits :P

  @Joe Rule of thumb is to protect/keep warm the central organs. I also don't know how they deal with snow in the UK but over here we use a lot of "road salt" to melt it. This is very harsh on the paws and we use rubber socks on Elvis to avoid sore feet:P

  They seem to like it. Probably not good them getting that cold though so we haven't had them out for a long time.
