My #Twitter account has been 'restricted'. They are asking me to delete a tweet where the words 'dumb cunt' have been used. I am told that it either promotes violence, or threatens, or harasses someone.

I am confident that the former two are completely out of question, and it is a really long stretch to construe one tweet, with one cuss word, as harassment.

Though I have lodged a protest, I don't think they'll see things from my point of view.

UPDATE: I bit the bullet and deleted the 'offending' tweet.

The sad thing is that we've come to a point where so many people are unable to avoid harassing and insulting people, that this kind of policy appears. You can't really blame Twitter here, that's basically their only solution to avoid getting sued.

That's quite a sad situation. It's okay for people to post hate/racist speech but the word 'cunt' to not be allowed is crazy. Pjuu has no policy on swearing, feel free to use it. It's poorly written (not a lawyer) but the T&C's have nothing https://pjuu.com/terms , they're pretty pointless TBH but required for Apple

On an related note, @Joe, what is #Pjuu's policy on 'dumb cunt'?
