Dear #Pjuu,
How do you bookmark your online stuff? What is the particular advantage?

I usually like/favourite/upvote/save things that I discover on social media. And that is mostly it. Obviously not a good method. And I am looking for a change. I use multiple devices, maintain multiple identities online, and well I think those are my principal complications.

@Mukt Like @Simona hinted below, FOSS != FLOSS. The former is often "Free and Open Source software" with the 'and' including non-free but liberal licenses (MIT, BSD, Apache, LGPL, etc.). The latter is "Free, libre open source software" where libre is a gesture towards the four freedoms in GNU GPL. However, if you add a "silent" 'and' to FLOSS, they become synonymous.

To answer your initial question: I use bookmarks in Firefox (Bookmark all open tabs feature), and often have >50 tabs open.. :/

I have gone with Firefox sync, for now. Already lost a couple of bookmarks ... they didn't sync probably because I had logged out from the work browser before logging in at home.

    Aren't FOSS and FLOSS synonyms?

Oh, and Firefox Sync is FOSS. You can run it on your own server.

OwnCloud is out, NextCloud is in. There's Sandstorm, too.

Does own cloud have a bookmarking utility? I don't run it due to using my servers for other things

Come on - no one is hosting his own cloud at home? Are you hipsters or nerds?

I have tinkered with pale moon and icecat. I think I found a problem somewhere and went back to mozilla.

Puffin is chromium based. And faster than anything I have used so far.

Never heard of that one. I used to use Pale Moon.
I just started tinkering with start.me. Don't know your privacy concerns, but that's another option for you.

I was considering that, but recently I have switched browser to Puffin Browser. It loads faster.

I've simply moved to using Firefox Sync. It's easy and handy.
