@joe Well, privacy in France is getting fun too, law is becoming a joke woth the "recent" terrorist attacks. And french people agree with this madness because they stupidly believe that it is truely done against criminals.
To give you an idea, I never thought about leaving France before until recently, and now I'm seriously considering it.
But you're right, Europe in general isn't like that. But countries like France or the UK don't seem to care.

We have no right to privacy in the UK. I am not aware of any law that protects us. Most EU countries and particularly Spain have legislation to ensure citizens are protected. I obviously don't know all the ins and outs of this as I would need to be a lawyer. It's hard trying to keep up with what is going on in 20-odd countries.

I doubt it. Most people here wouldn't care. Facebook is engrained in everything.

We've moved the Pjuu to servers to mainland Europe over the weekend as the privacy laws in the vast majority of countries there are far better than we have here.

Without EU, people would leave FB, Google, etc faster.
    No?

I'm not sure about leaving @mukt. If we have no EU to answer to I dread to think what will happen to surveillance. It's become a shambles this campaign over here. The racists have a left there holes.

Today, supporting EU means opposing its native subjects. UK must leave asap.
