Gespenstr 4 years agoDipping my toe in to LBRY with an older recording of a drawing. I'm hoping to record more stuff like this with time.

Gespenstr 4 years agoGreetings, and happy late new year!
I've been ill for a while, and ended up losing my job due to it, so I was slow to do any public posting for fear of venting. Even so, I needed a break from the job anyway, and having a month or so to heal and recover isn't the worst thing in the world. Still, I'm hoping to find a new job some time soon, as well as do more things I enjoy while I have the time. 12 hour shift don't leave you with much time, you see.
Peace!- 6

Gespenstr 5 years agoSince getting my #PC done, I’ve been trying to test it out to see what it can handle. It’s a budget box, sure, but it’s still has more muscle than my trusty Elitebook.
Here I’m testing out its ability to record video and audio, using the game #Tesseract , since it’s far more demanding than the Cube 2 Sauerbraten engine it is based off of, as well as Red Eclipse . I have a video on hand, but the file is big and I don’t want to wait hours to put up one status.

Gespenstr 5 years agoSay hello to my new box!
This is my first time actually building a PC rather than just upgrading, so I was surprised hoe quick and easy it was. I had to buy a motherboard, case, PSU, fans/coolers and a newer monitor. The rest, CPU, GPU memory and storage are from my previous computer.- 6

Gespenstr 5 years agoRIP EliteDesk. :(
My computer just died while I was trying to get my Radeon pro wx 4100 card to play nice with Debian. Won't even cut on anymore, even with minimal components in it, so I'm guessing I fried the motherboard or something equally as important. Very unfortunate, but not impossible to overcome. I still have my laptop to do artwork from, and I can still buy the components I need for a relatively low price. I also have an Athlon CPU that's been doing nothing for the past 6 months.- 3

Gespenstr 5 years agoI don’t see this one mentioned at all, and only heard of it because I was curious about #Bungie and their past work, so I’ll give a signal boost to Aleph One: Marathon Open Source.

Gespenstr 5 years agoGot a new SSD yesterday, and I'm working on moving my partitions to it.
Unfortunately, Windows is being difficult and refuses to boot from the SSD. It copes fine with Clonezilla, and the SSD itself works fine, but it refuses to do anything when I try to set it as the main hard drive.

Gespenstr 6 years agoBrowsing about F-Droid and finding interesting and useful programs is pretty neat. It is a bit unfortunate that there are no fully featured illustration apps on there, but buying one isn't expensive and is straight forward (As compared to the nonsense that is the Creative Cloud).
I was especially taken with the amount of nice little community apps on there. This place, Danger/u/, and even bigger sites like Diaspora and Mastodon. I like social sites that aren't the usual giants.
Pic unrelated.- 2

Gespenstr 6 years agoThe INSANITY workout is a hard workout for fit people.
For out of shape folk, it's exceedingly difficult.
That said, it wakes up you muscles, even ones you don't know you have, and makes other exercizes easier to handle, thus encouraging you to work out more im general. Sticking to it is hard, but overall worth it.- 3

Gespenstr 6 years agoI want to make more videos. This desire really flares up when I start surfing about on Archive.org and seeing a stuff like VJ samples, Electric Sheep, and older cartoons.
