Friends, all hi! I have such a question: on work it is necessary to buy laptops for students of IT specialties. While there is a good offer to buy a bunch of MacBooks, but I'm not particularly knowledgeable in the field of application development for android, are MacBooks suitable for such work? What are the pros and cons? I know it's a different OS, but I don't know how important that is for development

    Yea agree with @pizza. I use a Macbook for everything and also all the developers in my company do. No issues with anything development.

    @G1ver 4GB is a decent amount but I think 8 to 16GB is enough.

    MacBooks are excellent for Android development I had a MacBook Air M1 with 8GB of ram and 512GB of storage for Android development and I ran into no particular problem. some pros are That MacBooks have long battery life also The MacBooks OS which is macos is unix-based which has better security and is harder to exploit. The Cons are Limited hardware customization Compatibility issues and Newer MacBooks can be expensive.
