Deavmi 6 years agoI don't care too much about iy being fully RMS compliant but I will give you one thing.

Trebuchet 6 years ago+1 for SliTaz, I tried it on a old laptop a few years ago (I remeber that even Lubuntu was laggy on that machine) and worked flawlessy. The only major problem that I encountered was with the audio settings, but I managed to solve it somehow.
Personally, I would recommend you to at least try Trisquel (the "mini" version in your case), which is a fully-free (as in libre) Ubuntu based distro.

Pietlu 6 years agoI suggest SliTaz GNU/Linux. It needs around 100MB of space.

Kevinmc 6 years agoI would use Puppy Linux. It only requires I believe 200 mb of space, loads completely into ram. More info on thier page http://puppylinux.com/
