Mukt 8 years ago#Whatsapp's end-to-end encryption: "We made your chat encrypted today but your contact on the other end will get it next week, next month or year when she updates her app".
Meanwhile we'll continue to call your chat e2e encrypted without telling you that the other end is still not encrypted.
In other words, it is all a big pretense. Whatsapp (owned by Facebook) gives no real encryption.- 2

For instance, many young Europeans have opined that people above a certain age must not be allowed to vote in democracy. Then there are those hypocrites who claim to respect the democratic process but not the democratic outcome of #Brexit.

BOSS Linux is a version of #GNU / #Linux being developed by CDAC, which is an Indian government agency. Before release, this was announced to be an #OpenSource software but so far (and there have been 6 versions already) no source code is available at its official website (https://bosslinux.in) or anywhere else.
To the best of our knowledge, BOSS Linux is NOT a #FOSS software.- 2

Mukt 8 years agoThe rationale to hide victim's name in rape cases comes from so called "victim's right to privacy". But once the sex has been judged consensual, and the accuser can no longer be considered victim, there can not exist "victim's right to privacy" anymore.
The accused on the other hand has already been named and shamed not only by the court and acquaintances, but many a times by national and international media. Each and every agency that spread his name as "rape accused" him should compensate.- 1
